Vision

Our ultimate goal is to become the leading independent partner for the development of customised solutions in carbide in throughout Europe.

Since our foundation in 1980, we have developed from a pure manufacturer into a broadly diversified and internationally active company. In doing so, we focus on innovation, precision and high technology. Our product range, like the company as a whole, has undergone constant development. Whereas in the past we mainly produced solid carbide rods for the tool industry, today we offer our customers and partners not only a comprehensive product range, but above all, customised solutions for their individual needs. Under the motto "we live for challenges", we want to further expand this competence and develop into Europe's leading independent partner for customised solutions made of carbide.

We want to make our customers better through our products and services.

Customers from the very beginning, such as the Swiss-based micromechanics industries, have always demanded high precision. EXTRAMET has met these requirements for tolerances and accuracy from the outset. Quality and reliability are therefore terms that are of central importance in our corporate philosophy. When developing application-optimised special products, we focus on performance, costs and delivery service. In doing so, we are not content with merely fulfilling our customers' requirements. Rather, we want to exceed their expectations of our products as well as of our services and thus contribute to strengthening our customers' competitiveness in the market.

Customer-focused, innovative, sustainable

We know the needs of the market by maintaining close and personal contact with our customers. Supported by training and further education, a transparent internal exchange of knowledge as well as partnerships with established tool manufacturers, technical universities and colleges, we increase our own expertise. This enables us to understand our customers' applications and requirements even better, to jointly develop solutions with added value and, at the same time, to sustainably use their innovative power for our own continuous improvement process, whilst simultaneously taking into account our corporate, personal, social and ecological responsibility.This is a very long sentence but I added a bit more to make it less disjointed.

We promote this through initiative and cooperation in partnership. We empower our procurement to know EXTRAMET's needs and markets. Procurement is coordinated, defined and controlled. 

We want to win over the existing talent pool in the region and become the No. 1 option in the region. To this end, we continue to maintain and build on the positive company image. 

Social security

We take the personal well-being of our employees into account in our corporate actions. To this end, we create secure jobs and promote the social security of our employees with a fair remuneration policy for men and women as well as contemporary concepts. 

Occupational health and safety

We are committed to complying with the legal provisions on occupational safety and health protection and to monitoring them regularly. We pay great attention to prevention. To this end, we take appropriate organisational and ergonomic measures to maintain the health of our employees in the workplace. 

Personnel development

We want to enable our employees to successfully meet the professional challenges of the future. To this end, we promote and support adult education in the form of internal and external training and further education. An important part of our personnel development is also the training of young apprentices from our region. 

Social and community involvement

We are committed to society with targeted support for non-profit organisations in the areas of the environment, education, human rights and humanitarian causes, and support our employees in their personal, unpaid contribution to social cohesion.

We base our actions on the five principles in our Code of Conduct as well as on the guidelines of a living corporate governance system.

We internalise the five principles from our Code of Conduct in our leadership DNA and set a good example for our employees as self-reliant leaders. 

Compliance

We safeguard the interests of EXTRAMET in our personal dealings with our business partners and do not claim any advantages from third parties in the form of gifts, commissions or other preferential treatment. It is one of our fundamental principles that all employees act in accordance with competition and antitrust regulations. This includes, in particular, refraining from price fixing and the exchange of sensitive information and company-specific expertise with our competitors. 

We enjoy an intact environment and want to keep the beautiful landscape in our region clean and alive for our children. 

Ressourcen

We pay attention to an economical use of energy and resources, recycling of raw materials and waste heat as well as an environmentally friendly disposal of waste. 

Climate change

We are committed to further reducing our carbon footprint by continuing to implement energy and climate protection measures. Key elements of our environmental policy include increasing energy efficiency, using electricity from hydropower or renewable sources, and substituting petroleum-based auxiliary and operating materials and fuels. 

Environmental Compliance

For the sake of our environment, we are committed to meeting the strict requirements for an environmentally friendly production process. These globally applicable criteria are an integral part of our corporate sustainability management. This is our contribution to a clean environment.
