Sustainability
With its mission statement, EXTRAMET pursues a holistic approach to sustainability. We pay particular attention to our ecological responsibility. EXTRAMET's goal is to reduce damage to the environment and guarantee a careful approach to the use of raw materials. We achieve this by not only recycling soft scrap in our own production facilities, but also recycling grinding sludge through our raw material suppliers. This 20-year partnership is a guarantee of both sustainability and continuity.
The close relationship between raw material supplier, tungsten carbide producer and tool manufacturer is vital to operating a closed recycling circuit. We do not supply raw materials to China, but rather ensure that they are returned into the European cycle, contributing to environmental and economic sustainability in the European market.
With our 360°-service for all uncoated and coated tungsten carbide parts, such as sections, used tools such as drills, cutters, reamers and wearing components, you benefit from a comprehensive all-round service for buying and selling. We stand for trustworthiness and transparency, ensuring fair prices even for small quantities. Our eco-friendly reusable containers enable efficient processes and minimize waste.

The research and development team at EXTRAMET actively participates in the tungsten carbide working group of the Powder Metallurgy Association, whose task it is to organise and carry through development projects.
Equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, our expert team conducts independent and reliable material analyses, for example, in cases of tool breakage or wear. In our cutting-edge application center, practical milling and drilling tests, as well as customized analyses, take center stage.
